Sam Smith's Throat Is In Better Shape And He's Heading Back To Aus

4 June 2015 | 9:53 am | Staff Writer

Good news for those of you who missed out last April!

More Sam Smith More Sam Smith

In the wake of a vocal cord haemorrhage and the resulting cancellation of some of his Australian tour dates this past April, British Grammy-winning singer Sam Smith has announced he'll be returning this summer to finish off what he started.

The 23-year-old will head to arenas this November in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, in that order, bringing along 2014's In The Lonely Hour (which has just surpassed eight million copies in sales) to fans who unfortunately missed out on his soaring vocals a few months ago.

Smith says of the upcoming tour: "I’m unbelievably excited to get back onstage and perform for you all again, and I promise it will be so much better than it would have been before when my voice was damaged. The past few months have been incredibly difficult, but the support, love and patience my fans have shown me is absolutely unreal.

"I am so grateful to every one of you. I can’t wait to see you all xxxx."
