Sit tight, the boys are BACK!

More The 1975 More The 1975

The rollercoaster ride of emotion The 1975 fans have been on these past few days has finally pulled into the station, with Matty Healy and the boys posting a second typewritten comic strip today on their Facebook, announcing their return to the touring circuit with their second album currently in production. Earlier this week, the indie rockers deleted all their social media outlets, returning a day later with everything decked in pink.

Healy says, "It's creation signifies the end of the most inspiring and challenging time that we've ever shared as friends and as artists … We have toured the world playing over 25,000 shows in 400 differnt countries (that's a slight exaggeration but it was alot) and we have had the privilege of encountering the countless faces that make up our incredibly loyal and ebulliently peculiar fanbase.

With letters and words occasionally struck out (it's hard to type by typewriter, you know), Healy rambles, "We want to play shows we want a real shared experience we want to play HUGE shows that we never thought possible we want to play sets at festivals that people talk about for ages cos it was fun and it was music and the weather was perfect and we want to be honest otherwise what's the fucking point?"

Confirming that the band would be back to touring in November 2015 this year, Healy writes that the band will play smaller venues, with only the "most dedicated" ending up with tickets. He says, "This can only be remedied by our reciprocated dedication to playing more and more shows."

Signing off, the band have scribbled a few comics down the bottom, of what looks like a Roy Lichtenstein painting and a Porky Pig cartoon.
