The veteran Aussie act are expanding their live activity with a handful of shows later this year

More Regurgitator More Regurgitator

Veteran Aussie alternative heroes Regurgitator recently shook off two years' worth of performance rust to bust out a triumphant set at Toowoomba's First Coat street art festival a couple of weeks ago, and now — luckily for everyone else — they've got the itch again.

To that end, the lads of the Gurge will be marking their 22nd year together by setting out for "a quick live power burst" throughout August and September, taking in both metropolitan headline gigs and a couple of festival slots for good measure.

Those slots — at Karratha's Beats In The Heat festival on Saturday 8 August and Townsville's non-profit Cultural Fest on Saturday 22 August — precede the band's headline run of shows, which they've dubbed the Cheap Imitations Tour-ché. It kicks off at home in Brisbane with back-to-back performances at The Zoo on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 August.

The tour also takes in appearances in Sydney (Manning Bar, 29 August), Melbourne (The Prince, 4 September) and Adelaide (The Gov, 5 September).
