New music finally!

More The Basics More The Basics

Breaking their six-year album silence, Melbourne chameleon rockers The Basics have announced their fourth studio album, The Age Of Entitlement, to coincide with hitting their thirteenth year as a band.

The trio, consisting of Wally De Backer (more commonly known now as Gotye), Kris Schroeder and Tim Heath, will release 11 new tracks recorded at London's idyllic Abbey Road Studios on CD and a limited edition 12" vinyl as well, both of which will arrive in your mailbox with a series of 'Postcards From Abbey Road'.

The band recorded The Lucky Country EP at the same time they recorded this upcoming album, which they released last November.

The Age Of Entitlement is due to be released on 14 August, with the colourful album cover a special piece created by Indigenous Australian artist, Ben McKeown.
