Bad Lip Reading's 'Redneck Avengers' Is As Brilliant As It Is Overdue

Like, not the timeliest of film parodies, but definitely the mightiest

It's an age-old understanding that good things take time, so let that — rather than a negative focus on timeliness — be your main philosophy in embracing Redneck Avengers: Tulsa Nights, the new release from madcap internet comedy troup Bad Lip Reading.

We know that Joss Whedon's box-office-busting mega-movie was released almost three years ago exactly now, so instead of seeing this clip as belated, perhaps consider it commemorative; a loving, meticulously put-together examination of what The Avengers would have been like had the central heroes all been hay-chewing hillbillies.

There's no real rhyme or reason as to why something like this would ever exist. It's easier for everyone if we just accept that it does, and simply put some time aside instead to marvel — not intended — at the impossibly precise, unexpectedly cogent reworking of 2012's most popular film, and then cross your fingers that Bad Lip Reading has a sequel in 'em, because those extended sequences at Hawkeye's farm do nothing if not lend themselves to this exact kind of reinterpretation.

God(s), it's magnificent. Check it out below.
