More Guns N' Roses More Guns N' Roses

Fans of legendary 90's rock outfit Guns N' Roses immediately began to speculate about a possible reunion after the band's biographer, Marc Canter, released a mini-documentary last month about his plan to get the original lineup back together.

Yet in one fell swoop original bassist Duff Mckagan dismissed the rumours of the documentary which he is featured in, as he revealed in an interview with Billboard that the footage was in fact filmed years ago.

"That interview, I’m like, 'What the hell’s that from?' It’s from a while ago, and I don’t know what the interview’s from. And Marc’s a dear friend, but he didn’t ask me if he could use that piece" he laughed.

"So there’s a little like, 'Dude, I don’t know where that…I’m wearing a Von Dutch hat, so that’s gotta be like 2007'...So I don’t know. I don’t know what he’s doing, to be honest."

Canter believes that he is the man to reunite the band due to his close relationships with all of the original members and the key is for lead singer Axl Rose and iconic guitarist Slash to make amends after their very public falling out in the mid nineties.

McKagan said of Canter's plans: "I have no comment on that. That came out of left field for me."

"My manager sent me the link and I looked at it like, 'What the hell?' Little weird. But Marc is a good guy. He’s been around forever, and if that’s what he thinks, it’s his thing."

The 51-year-old musician is currently promoting his new book which was released this month, How to Be a Man (and other illusions).
