Say hello to the new Spotify

After week's of rumours and speculation, music streaming company Spotify have today unveiled the brand new features for the service in the wake of the relaunch for Apple's own streaming service, Beats Music.

A media event held in New York saw the announcement of a number of new features, including uniquely designed music playlists made under the 'Now Start' page, which allows users to pick and choose tunes to suit their mood at any particular day or time.

A new health inspired feature has also been added called 'Spotify Running' in which the user will hear music that fits in time and tempo with their running pace, all based on listening history, pre made playlists and original composers.

And as predicted, Spotify have adopted podcast and video streams which will show content from US channels such as ABC, Adult Swim, BBC, Comedy Central, ESPN and NBCUniversal.
