CBS & ABC join Fox and NBC in the 2015-16 preview-release pre-season party

The rollout of next season's fresh crop of US TV shows continues in the wake of Fox and NBC's trailer reveals this week, with fellow stations CBS and ABC also coming to the party with new previews for their fledgling properties, including big respective drawcards such as Supergirl and The Muppets.

CBS is clearly putting a lot of faith in its tale of Superman's cousin, Kara Zor-El, and its nascent Supergirl series, unleashing an incredible six-minute-long trailer for the DC Comics adaptation, which stars Melissa Benoist in the central role. Also starring are Mehcad Brooks as former Superman sidekick figure James "Jimmy" Olsen, here reimagined as a suave-as-fuck art director at Kara's new job, while Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal) stars as one-time Clark Kent love interest, now apparent corporate mogul, Cat Grant. The inclusion of David Harewood as Hank Henshaw — who dedicated comics fans will recognise as the man who would one day go on to become the evil Cyborg Superman — is particularly enticing, though it's far from a guarantee we'll ever be seeing robot Big Blue traipsing around the streets of National City.

Backing up Supergirl for CBS are trailers for additional new programming such as the TV adaptation of Bradley Cooper full-length vehicle LimitlessCode Black and Angel From Hell, all of which you can check out below.

For ABC, the charge is led by the updated, re-envisioned Muppets series, which looks like it's aiming to capitalise on the popularity and personality of the franchise's recent feature films. Unfortunately, like NBC before them, ABC have chosen to geo-block their entire set of trailers — but alternative, unblocked versions exist (with buggy audio, but still) for not only The Muppets but previews of fellow new pick-ups Wicked City, Dr Ken, Uncle Buck, The Real O'Neals, The Catch, Quantico, Oil, The Family and Of Kings & Prophets.
