Iconic Sydney Entertainment Venue For Sale

Sydney's live entertainment venue The Vanguard is on the open market. 

The 1920's New Orlean inspired bar is looking for a buyer who wishes to continue the legacy of the venue which was first built in 2003. 

The current owners have spent the last few years developing their own burlesque and theatre productions at The Vanguard and due to its success, they will embark on international tours which has forced them to give up the keys to the iconic Newtown establishment. 

A number of local and international talent have performed live on stage at the venue, including Russell Crowe and Elvis Costello, Tim Rogers and Megan Washington. 

Owner Russall Beattie said: "We have had such an amazing experience running this place, there is really no where else like it in Sydney, but the time has come for us to move on."

"We hope to find someone who has the passion to keep this place true to its name."
