Mmmm, dairy vanilla custard ice cream rippled with raspberry sauce...

Looks like UK rockers Blur, who laid low for 12 years, are laying low no more.

With their latest release, The Magic Whip, shooting to the top of the charts both in the UK and around the world, the band have delved into the world of dairy — presenting the Magic Whip ice cream, available to buy and, well, eat.

Created in collaboration with The Licktators, a British dairy company who have previously created other music-themed ice cream flavours such as John Lemon (which tastes like lemon curd) and Jiggy Pop (which tastes like popcorn), Magic Whip is supposed to taste like "dairy vanilla custard ice cream rippled with raspberry sauce".

The ice cream will be available from Co-Operative stores in the UK as well as on their upcoming UK tour dates. Here's to hoping the lads bring a freezer Down Under, too.

Lucky Londoners have already been able to taste the new ice cream flavour from a truck that has been roaming around the city, which looks uncannily like a Mr Whippy van. The pun is not lost on us, boys.
