They will possess your money
Indie rockers Death Cab For Cutie have announced a six-date tour of Australia, off the back of their Splendour In The Grass appearance this July.
Taking to Melbourne, Canberra, Wollongong, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth, the tour will also include the band's first Sydney Opera House performance. The band are now a three-piece, given long-time guitarist Chris Walla's departure last year, though they'll perform with two touring members who will contribute keys and guitars.
Armed with the trio's eighth album, Kintsugi, Death Cab's performance at the Opera House will be part of the Music at the House program, which also includes Vivid LIVE.
The soundtrack of many people's formative years, the Washington State natives are sure to dip into their impressive back catalogue of coming-of-age albums on this tour, so expect to hear your favourite songs from 2005's Plans, 2003's Transatlanticism and 2008's Narrow Stairs.
