Watch Arnold Schwarzenegger Re-Enact His Film Career Ahead Of Aussie Visit

The 'Terminator: Genisys' star will be here with co-star Jai Courtney to preview their new film next month

When you think about it, Arnold Schwarzenegger's film career is kind of crazy — he's played everything from Barbarian warlord to put-upon father at Christmastime to a brilliant scientist-turned-criminal (Mr Freeze, the original Walter White) and … uh … a kindergarten cop and Danny DeVito's twin brother — but no role has defined him quite like the Terminator.

It seems fitting, then, ahead of the release of that film franchise's newest instalment, Terminator: Genisys — and an Aussie red-carpet appearance with co-star Jai Courtney on the horizon to boot — that the Governator should pay tribute to his wider catalogue of roles, which is exactly what he did with new Late Late Show host James Corden when he stopped by for a chat this week.

In about six minutes, Corden and Arnie take us on a breakneck adventure through the "best scenes" from the Living Mountain's broad filmography, from Conan The Barbarian, Pumping Iron, The Expendables and Commando to The Terminator (duh), Twins, Predator, Escape Plan, Total Recall, The Running Man, Batman & Robin, Junior, True Lies, Kindergarten Cop, Last Action Hero, Jingle All The Way and, finally, Terminator 2.

It's bizarre, sure, but it reads like a hit list of iconic action films and family flops, and it's sure to warm the cockles of your heart if you have an affinity for late-20th-century cinema. There's only one real letdown, and that's Arnie's ad lib on his famous "It's not a tumour!" line from Kindergarten Cop — come on, Arnie. You don't mess with the classics.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jai Courtney will be walking the red carpet from 5.30pm on Thursday, 4 June, at Event Cinemas George Street, Sydney. The pair will be showing fans an early look at footage from Terminator: Genisys, the full trailer for which was recently released (to some criticism, at that, after arguably unveiling one of the film's biggest twists in its two-and-a-bit-minute run time).

The movie hits big screens on Wednesday, 1 July. Watch the trailer below.
