Frank Yamma And More Added To 2015 NIMAs

Nominations now open

Organisers of the annual National Indigenous Music Awards, set to take place Saturday 25 July, have made a second announcement of performers for this year's event.  

Frank Yamma, B2M and The Painted Ladies (with members of The Medics) have been added to a bill announced announced in March.

Nominations are now also open for this year's awards. Executive Director of the NIMAs Mark Smith pointed out, "Last year saw the largest ever number of nominations from across the country." Big numbers are expected again.

Nominations close on Saturday 20 June — nominations can be entered at the NIMA website.

Also, NIMA's annual collaboration with triple j Unearthed, to recognise upcoming indigenous talent, will be kicking off again on May 27. Previous winners have included Thelma Plum, Robbie Miller and Philly.  

The NIMAs take place at the Darwin Amphitheatre on July 25.
