Sia Claims Top Three Singles Spots On Carlton Dry Independent Music Charts

Sia has stepped up her ongoing dominance of the Carlton Dry Independent Music Charts, with the 1000 Forms Of Fear mastermind walking away as holder of the top three positions on this week's Singles ladder, as well as the top spot on the Albums rankings.

With a shared 82 weeks on the charts between them, Sia's tracks Big Girls Cry, Elastic Heart and long-standing high-placer Chandelier respectively fill the #1 to #3 spots in a week that also sees last week's top placeholder, Jarryd James' Do You Remember, somewhat stunningly drop completely out of the top 20. Japanese Wallpaper's collab with Airling, Forces, stays strong at #4 for another week, while Hermitude manage the sole new entry on the Singles chart this week, with The Buzz, featuring Mataya and Young Tapz, rounding out the top five on debut.

The Albums chart is similarly peaceful this week, with veteran muso Colin Hay the sole new face in the crowd, his new album Next Year People picking up #14 on debut. A couple of artists put in solid upward jumps, with Thundamentals (So We Can Remember) and The Smith Street Band (Throw Me In The River) enjoying rises to #5 and #6 from #10 and #12 respectively, but the pointy end — San Cisco's Gracetown at #3, Courtney Barnett's Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit at #2, and Sia's 1000 Forms Of Fear on top — remains unchanged.
