Fans of Americana, folk and soul, rejoice!

Even though The Gum Ball at Dashville in Lower Belford, NSW has taken a break for 2015, it seems like another festival has sprung up to keep us occupied.

The organisers behind The Gum Ball have announced that a new festival called Dashville Skyline will be taking to the Hunter Valley outdoor venue this October long weekend (Saturday, 3 October and Sunday, 4 October) for a two-day event celebrating Americana music and culture.

Organiser Matt "Magpie" Johnston said of the new event: "A lot of people were disappointed that The Gum Ball took a break in 2015, but it made it possible for us to put together this great new event, which celebrates the evolving scene for Americana music, food and culture in Australia, which we at Dashville really enjoy".

The festival, whose line-up has not yet been announced, will feature Australian and international artists in the alt-country, folk, soul and psychedelia genres, along with classic cars and American cuisine, all wrapped up in a family-friendly atmosphere.
