After a successful stint at Sydney's GoodGod Small Club in October last year, the Lost Highway Records-curated Country & Inner Western music night is destined for monthly frequency at new haunt The Basement, starting from Wednesday, 22 April.

They're kicking off proceedings in style, too, with the first Basement-bound iteration boasting an esteemed line-up of acts, including seven-piece alt-country/bluegrass/folk collective The Morrisons, acclaimed singer-songwriter Ruby Boots, and US-born, Sydney-based Americana luminary Jenny Queen. Sample some of the twangy goodness headed Basement-ways in a couple of weeks below:

The three acts will be joined by special guests on the night, which already has a sequel in the works planned for Wednesday, 20 May. Set times are liable to change on a show-to-show basis, but the first Country & Inner Western will see doors open at 6.30pm for a sweet, old-fashioned slathering of alt-country, Americana, roots and folk goodness.
