More Deez Nuts More Deez Nuts

Melbourne-via-New York-based four-piece Deez Nuts have announced a run of national shows this June in celebration of the release of their impending new studio full-length.

Dubbed the Word Is Bond tour in honour of their latest album, the band will get their sojourn under way at The Brightside, in Brisbane, on Thursday, 4 June, and take their road show to stages in Sydney (on 5 & 6 June, the latter of which is an all-ages event), Canberrra (7 June, licensed AA), Perth (9 & 10 June; former is AA), Adelaide (11 Jun, Lic/AA), and Melbourne, where they wrap up with another double showing on 12 June (AA) and 13 June (18+).

Deez Nuts are actually preceding their Aussie tour with a pretty significant series of shows around the world, with gigs getting under way abroad in Germany in late April ahead of a five-week European run (including Spain, Russia and Greece), with further dates yet to be announced for Canada, the US, New Zealand and Asia.

Word Is Bond is due for release the day they get started overseas — 24 April — as is the new full-length from Kiwi heavyweights Antagonist AD, Haunt Me As I Roam, so it makes sense that the tour should serve as something of a co-album launch for the venerated acts. Both bands will be at every show on the tour.

Throughout the extensive jaunt, Deez Nuts will also be joined by their good mates in Sydney hardcore outfit Relentless (except Perth) and Melbourne natives Earth Caller. Tickets for all shows will be available from 9am this Thursday, 26 March, through a variety of outlets.
