But it's not enough to hold-out the new Kendrick Lamar LP

Four new Australian albums have debuted in the ARIA top ten this week, but it wasn't enough to hold-off Kendrick Lamar-mania, with the rapper's new LP To Pimp A Butterfly nabbing first spot.

Lamar's album was released a week ahead of schedule, meaning it scored the number one position despite having a few days to catch up on the rest of the new releases. His last album, the acclaimed good kid, m.A.A.d city, peaked at 23 here after its release in 2012.

But Aussies dominated the rest of the ten, with the Lee Kernaghan-led compilation Spirit Of The ANZACS the highest local debut of the week, landing at two, followed closely by country legend Troy Cassar-Daley and Fredom Ride and Melbourne indie-rock mainstays British India. Their fifth studio LP Nothing Touches Me debuted at five, with Xavier Rudd's new record with band The United Nations, Nanna entering at eight.

Aussie-based Irishman Damien Leith debuted just outside the ten at 11 with his new release Songs From Ireland. Other notable debuts came from Marina & The Diamonds with Froot (12), Sleeping With Sirens' Madness (13) and Modest Mouse's Strangers To Ourselves (15).

In the ARIA Singles Chart, infectious rapper LunchMoney Lewis pushed his way into the top spot with Bills, edging out recent chart-topper Ellie Goulding and her track Love Me Like You Do, which came in at two.

Brisbane singer Jarryd James, who's recently been on the road with Angus & Julia Stone, made an impressive climb with single Do You Remember, which moved from 17 to eight in the space of a week. And fellow Aussie and recently announced for Vivid, Daniel Johns jumped from 95 to 21 with Aerial Love, thanks to the EP's release last week.

Some of the week's highest single debuts came from R&B singer Jason Derulo with Want To Want Me (27), the returning Mumford & Sons and Believe (29), stadium rockers Muse and Psycho (44) and the new song from Aussie singer Delta Goodrem, Only Human (46).

Timmy Trumpet and Chardy have taken over the top spot on the Club Chart with Hipsta while Volume 22 of triple j's Hottest 100 series remains number one on the Compilation Chart. The Eagles' History Of The Eagles stays atop of the Music DVD Chart.
