The Brissy legends are strengthening their springboard from which to launch the next stage of their career

Hard-working Brisbane five-piece Morning Harvey have good cause to celebrate today, with theMusic.com.au able to exclusively reveal that they have secured management and booking deals with Rick Chazan of Ground Control Music and Stephen Wade of Select Music to help take the next stage of their career to untold heights.

The band  comprised of current and former members from esteemed local acts such as Orphans Orphans, Moses Gunn Collective, Last Dinosaurs, Millions, The Belligerents and more — will look to Chazan (Emma Louise, The Church) for international management duties, while Wade will handle Australian booking.

"I suppose Morning Harvey are emerging from the post-psychedelic era led by Tame Impala, which we love, but at the heart of it is a band writing great songs with great musicianship and a killer live show," Chazan said of the signing in a statement. "And the icing: founder Spencer White has that rare combination of cool and charisma that could make him one of Australia's really iconic frontmen."

Wade concurred: "Each year, we see many great young bands coming through but very few who arrive with such a brilliant live show, and we are very happy to be a part of the team."

The band will follow up their new business deals with a fresh EP, recorded with local legendary producer Magoo, due for release in April.

Although plans beyond that output are not yet finalised, expect more announcements to filter out of the Morning Harvey camp in the coming months as they look to capitalise on their new-found clout and fresh material, once we're lucky enough to have that in hand.

In the interim, though, you can join in the celebration yourself by cranking last year's T.I.D.E and letting the free-flowing, psych-dappled good vibes simply wash over you.
