'To Pimp A Butterfly' is out now

More Kendrick Lamar More Kendrick Lamar

The new album from modern rap luminary Kendrick Lamar has dropped a week ahead of schedule.

To Pimp A Butterfly appeared on iTunes during the past 24 hours, even though the LP was originally slated to be released on 24 Mar. It does appear though that the release is only digital at the moment. Fans can also stream the album via Spotify.

To Pimp A Butterfly is one of the more anticipated hip hop releases of the year, with a great deal of momentum leading into its release, partly thanks to the powerful single The Blacker the Berry, which dropped earlier this year. It's been three years since Lamar released his acclaimed second album good kid, m.A.A.d city.
