More San Cisco More San Cisco

Madonna's star-studded 13th studio Rebel Heart has debuted at number one on the Australian Albums Chart this weekend.

The American singer's top spot entry kept out WA band San Cisco who entered at number two with their Gracetown album.

Madonna's album, which features collabs with the likes of Kanye West, Diplo and Nicki Minaj, becomes her 11th ARIA Album Chart topper, tying her with U2 as the artist with the most number one albums since ARIA took over recording chart sales in 1988. Madonna's first ARIA Album Chart number one was True Blue in in 1986, her most recent was MDNA in 2012.

San Cisco's effort with Gracetown bests their debut — the band's self-titled set peaked at 17 back in 2012.

US EDM producer Diplo also enjoyed two new entries this week. Under the Major Lazer moniker he entered at 28 with Lean On and in his collab with Skrillex and Justin Bieber, he debuted at 33 with Where Are U Now.
