See Michael Bolton In The 'Office Space' Parody You've Been Waiting For

"Why should I change? He's the one who sucks"

Classic cult comedy Office Space turns an unbelievable 16 years old in 2015, its impact on an entire generation of young professionals impossible to deny even now, with devil boss Lumbergh's, "Mmm, yeah, that'd be great," still a regularly used fixture of the pop cultural lexicon.

Part of that longevity has come from its eminently quotable nature, drawn from the robust characters in and around the film's core, with long-suffering cubicle stooge Michael Bolton (David Herman) a deep well of comedic material, not least of all due to his consistent outrage over his unfortunate(?) legal name.

Now, though, in what is arguably the Office Space parody people have been waiting for since the film's release in 1999, some iconic moments have been given a breath of fresh air, of sorts — namely, the real Michael Bolton, in conjunction with web-comedy hub Funny Or Die, has recreated several scenes in which he stands in for Herman's "fake" Michael Bolton, and the result is… well, it's just glorious. Check it out for yourself below.

Damn, it feels good to be a gangster.

Bolton's most recent release was 2011's Gems: The Duets Collection/Duette; he's currently touring the United States, which we guess explains why this video was made now, of all the times it could have come together in the previous decade and a half. Still - better late than never.
