If you want to call that "locked in", go for it
Beloved Mansfield-bred four-piece Violent Soho could have a straight shot to the stages of next year's Soundwave Festival after a fan suggested they join the bill to promoter AJ Maddah on Twitter yesterday.
Expressing their enthusiasm for the idea, the band chipped in, "Fuck yeah that rules," before Maddah replied with a similarly stoked sentiment, welcoming them aboard next year's festival as officially as you can on Twitter.
@DJanouris @violentsoho if they want on we would be very happy to have them.

@violentsoho @DJanouris Sweet. Very proud to have you. Let's get the specifics sorted out in private :) Welcome to #SW16.

From there, it didn't take long for other suggestions to come forward, with one fan offering up the Aussie-bred trifecta of Dune Rats, The Smith Street Band and Kingswood for next year's bill, and Maddah being just as open to their inclusion as Soho's.

Still, Maddah isn't just limiting his options to Australian bands - he indicated openness to welcome Californian outfit Slaves to the festival in 2016, as well as an as-yet-unspecified band from Indonesia, should they fit the profile, while another tweet hints that Soen and Twenty-One Pilots would also be totally up his and Soundwave's alley.
@SlavesAU @colin_vieira @SLAVESOFFICIAL Let's talk!

@adiindong Why not? If they can bring the show and we book early enough to get them a profile here.

@musiclovr1 they're just buying the media beat up. Soen are brilliant. Would love to have them.

@PunkandBowties yep

Maddah's not just blanket saying "yes" to every request, of course - he did have to break the news to a hopeful fan that Cancer Bats would be an extremely unlikely addition to the festival, for which he says tickets will go on sale "sooner than you think".
@memequeen2kI4 Love them dearly. But not for #SW16. There is a plan coming together...
