More In Hearts Wake More In Hearts Wake

It's been a busy week for Byron Bay five-piece In Hearts Wake: having unexpectedly announced new full-length album — and Earthwalker follow-up — Skydancer yesterday morning, the band have wasted no time in unveiling the next taste of their newest chapter in the form of lead single Breakaway.

The new single, which comes replete with accompanying film clip already, is technically the second release from Skydancer, following the release of a re-recorded version, featuring The Ghost Inside's Jonathan Vigil, of the album's title track, which had previously been released as a standalone single in 2013.

Thus, it also marks the first true taste of totally new material, and it's not hard to see why they've picked it — Breakaway is an assured, mature composition bearing all the hallmarks of a band well and truly at peace with, and attuned to, their strengths as a cohesive unit.
