English comedian Noel Fielding has revealed he has no plans to do another season of his cult series Luxury Comedy.

Speaking to The Music's Hannah Story recently, the funnyman, who is touring Australia next month, said while he enjoyed making the show, it was time for him to move on and do something entirely different.

"I’ve spoken to the channel about doing something else, but maybe not a Luxury Comedy," Fielding confessed.

"I really enjoyed the first one because it was really experimental and mental, and one of the weirdest shows ever. People absolutely either loved it or hated it over here, no in between, it’s the strongest reaction I’ve ever had to anything. One person said it was the second 9/11, and then the people who loved it absolutely loved it. But it was really, I loved the first one, and the second one I sort of enjoyed it in a different way.

"We sort of took those characters and put them in a story, but I don’t know. I don’t think I would really wanna do another one. I kind of feel like we did that, and we should do something else now."

Fielding admitted he doesn't know what's next for his career, teasing there could always be the possibility of something Mighty Boosh-related or, jokingly, politics.

"I’ve sort of been working solidly for about ten years without even pausing for breath or looking up and I feel like I should maybe chill for a little bit and then think about exactly what I wanna do next before I jump in, y’know?" Fielding said.

"I’ve been talking to Julian [Barratt, his partner-in-Boosh] as well a little bit. You never know, we might do something with the Boosh again. There’s options, there’s so many things I could do, so I just wanna make sure I work out what I wanna do before jump into it headlong first and then spend two years making something.

"I might go into politics, is what I’m saying [laughs]. I might just start dancing on the street corners for money. I don’t know. I’m not sure yet. I might retire. I’m quite old now, I might retire after this tour, in Australia. I think it’d be too hot for me, I’m not really into the sun. No place for goths in the sun, it’s ridiculous. I’m gonna get a black umbrella like a parasol. Like Mary Poppins. Yeah, Mary Gothins, that’d be amazin’."
