The Aussie company has snagged a big transcontinental win with its new partnership

Graham Ashton's Footstomp Music has scored itself something of a coup with its latest deal, signing on to partner with respected Canadian label, management and publishing service Nettwerk Music Group for publicity and marketing in the Great Southern Land.

Nettwerk has been a staple industry player in both North America and across Europe over the past 30 years, having been an instrumental part in the nascent career phases of artists such as Coldplay and Sarah McLachlan and building a roster of acts to fall under their purview, including Old Crow Medicine Show, Family Of The Year, fun., Guster, Passenger and muso-of-the-moment Perfume Genius.

The company has an existent distribution deal with fellow local Inertia, which it has recently re-signed, but its Australian presence is set to burgeon beyond its current boundaries with the team at Footstomp now on-board to handle publicity and marketing.

With new releases ahead for Family Of The Year, Frazey Ford and Boxed In, the deal comes at a key time for both companies as they align their evident love of live music to move onward and upward to new heights, propelled by their newfound state of co-operation.

"Nettwerk and Footstomp have similar philosophies on music and we have fallen in love with their roster," Ashton said of the deal in a statement. "We can't wait to get our teeth into representing such brilliant artists in Australia."

Added Nettwerk Music Group chief executive Terry McBride: "Nettwerk is excited to align itself with a company like Footstomp that shares passion for great original music."
