The fringe EDM pioneer will touch down in April
Renowned electronic musician and "godfather of Jungle Terror" Wiwek (Oui-wack) has announced his maiden run of Australian tour dates, bringing his distinct fusion of the tropical and technological to our shores for five performances this April.
The Dutch producer will kick off his sojourn in Sydney, at Chinese Laundry, on Friday, 17 April, and take in shows in Brisbane (Family, 18 April), Adelaide (Zhivago, 19 April), and Mooloolaba (The Helm, 25 April), with a "secret show" planned for the night before, on Friday, 24 April.
Wiwek has been turning an increasing number of heads around the world since the release of his Totem EP in early 2012, gaining notoriety for creating the Jungle Terror genre and for his entrancing tunes, becoming an audible favourite at the Ultra 2014 festival in Miami (at which eight of his tracks were played by various acts) and helping him earn a high-profile support slot for contemporaries Diplo, David Guetta and DJ Snake.
Tickets for Wiwek's debut Australian tour will be available via their respective venues: Sydney / Brisbane / Adelaide / Mooloolaba.
