The British outfit are plugging third full-length "Glitterburg" with gigs in Melbourne and Sydney
Liverpudlian indie-rock veterans The Wombats are making a long-overdue return to the realm of recorded works with Glitterbug, their first full-length in four years, and ahead of its April release they're headed Down Under — later this month, in fact — to show off some of their new aural goodies with a pair of shows in Melbourne and Sydney.
The trio will be in the country between Monday, 23 February, and Sunday, 1 March, on a promotional visit for the album but they're slotting in time to make the live appearances on Tuesday, 24 February, in Melbourne, and Wednesday, 25 February, in Sydney.
Melbourne's show is free and will be held at "an intimate secret live venue", which will only be revealed to those fortunate enough to score tickets the day before the show, which is presented as part of Jack Daniel's Future Legends initiative. You can have your shot from 9am AEST this Thursday, 19 February, via Ticketscout (18+ only; max two per person; first come, first served).
Sydney fans face similar entry limitation issues, as the only way to see The Wombats there is to win tickets to Channel [V]'s Island Party.
