The festival boss sealed the SA leg's fate in a tweet
Soundwave Festival promoter AJ Maddah has confirmed that this year's event in Adelaide will be the "last ever" for the city, apparently as a result of poor ticket sales.
In a conversation with another user on Twitter, Maddah said he would be in the city for "last ever Adel SW", before sealing its fate, when asked if he would "go back to single day + give it one last shot", with a tweet that read, "No. We can't bring a show of this magnitude down again for so few people. Sorry."

@TaffetaPunks no. We can't bring a show of this magnitude down again for so few people. Sorry.

Adelaide's survival this year has been something of a thorn in the side for Maddah and his team; subpar sales aside, the festival was embroiled in a battle with the Adelaide City Council mid-last year after being forced to forfeit its $10,000 bond for 2014's event over noise-limit breaches before throwing up red tape that complicated the process of securing its temporary venue lease for this year's festival.

Despite the apparently lukewarm purchase rate this year, in a tweet about this time last year, Maddah commented to a fan that Adelaide's support had always been "awesome".
@buckets22 also, fans support has always been awesome for SW in Adelaide.
