Australian musician Tex Perkins will be 'Far From Folsom' when he heads over to the Maldives for a set of intimate shows this September.

The rock luminary, who recently paid tribute to country legend Johnny Cash as part of Sydney Festival, will perform three special shows at the Kandooma Resort, as part of the Surf Music In Paradise series.

The shows, presented by The Music, in conjunction with The Perfect Wave and Swellnet, will be incredibly intimate, with only 100 guests allowed to attend each performance. They will be held at three different locations within the resort — the Sunset Bar, West Beach and one more secluded location that has yet to be revealed.

Perkins will perform for 90 minutes each show, with a range of tunes from his diverse and esteemed catalogue set to be showcased. He will also stick around after the performances to sign autographs and pose for professional photos.
