They will continue to host events until the end of 2015.

Revered Adelaide live music venue HQ is set to close its doors at the end of the year, following reports the heritage-listed land it sits on will be put up for sale next month.

According to Adelaide Now, the sale follows the development of a hospital in the area, but the North Terrace venue will continue to host the likes of The Gaslight Anthem, Xavier Rudd & The Nations and Jurassic 5 until the end of 2015.

“HQ wouldn’t be an ideal tenant next to a hospital...I think a high-rise building will be compatible with the hospital tenancy, that would be my guess,” general manager Stephen Rose told the paper.

With the venue reportedly being as successful as ever, they has given no indication whether or not it will be relocating next year.
