The fresh digs will be filling a soon-to-be-gaping hole in the Northbridge scene
While local punters mourn the impending loss of stalwart Northbridge venue The Bakery, they can take more than a little solace in the news that the void will be more than capably filled by a new venue springing up this year, the eagerly awaited Jimmy's Den.
Weighing in with a capacity of 200, the venue — the brainchild of local pop-up bar company Bar Pop — will be available for both 18+ and all-ages events, held during the day or in the evening, with in-house lighting and PA provided with the option of using the venue's full backline, door staff and front-of-house operator to help streamline the experience for artists and their beleaguered tour managers.
"We stumbled across a great old space in the heart of Northbridge that needed to be brought back to life," Bar Pop director Chris Bausor said of the new venture in a statement.
"Jimmy's Den will become the unofficial home of live music in WA."
