Hawaiian singer-songwriter Donavon Frankenreiter has announced a run of 17 shows through surf and country Australian towns while he’s in town for the Bluesfest festival.

In a morning that has also seen shows added to tours by The Gipsy Kings, Jurassic 5, Michael Franti & Spearhead and Dispatch, Frankenreiter’s news is the biggest. Throughout the run he’ll be playing shows from his fifth record, Start Livin’, as well as cuts from his extensive back catalogue.

South Florida’s JJ Gret and Mofro will take to Sydney’s The Basement Monday 6 April. For JJ Grey, it’s his only Aussie performance outside of Bluesfest. Tickets on sale Thursday 15 January at 10am AEDT.

Reggae’s SOJA and Blue King Brown are teaming up for a show at Brisbane’s Triffid on Saturday 4 April. Tickets are on sale Thursday 15 January at 10am AEDT.

Already supporting the Zac Brown Band’s dates, Dispatch announce their first Australian headline shows at Melbourne’s Prince Bandroom Tuesday 7 April and Sydney’s The Factory Wednesday 8 April. Tickets for both shows on sale Friday 16 January at 9am AEDT.

The Gipsy Kings have added a show at Gold Coast’s Jupiters Hotel & Casino Sunday 5 April. Tickets on sale 10am AEDT Thursday 15 January.

Jurassic 5 have added a show at Wollongong’s Waves Friday 27 March and one at Adelaide’s HQ Thursday 2 April. Tickets on sale 10am AEDT Thursday 15 January.

Michael Franti & Spearhead will head to Hobart’s Odeon Theatre on Friday 9 April. Tickets on sale from 9am AET Wednesday 21 January through Ruffcut Records.

Nigeria’s Keziah Jones will support Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue at Sydney’s Factory Theatre Wednesday 1 April and Melbourne’s Corner Hotel Sunday 5 April. Tickets are already on sale.
