Sydney and Melbourne will each have an opportunity to spend an evening with the literary lady of the moment
Venerated performer, musician, activist and best-selling author Amanda Palmer has announced an Australian launch for her acclaimed, recently released memoir, The Art Of Asking: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Let People Help.
The ever-colourful Palmer, best-known to some for her work with Brechtian cabaret punk outfit The Dresden Dolls — and to others for her wealth of other activities and material — will appear at two launch events Down Under in support of her new book, one each in Melbourne and Sydney, while in the country to also appear at this month's forthcoming MONA FOMA event.
The Sydney launch will be held at from 7:30pm at the Metro Theatre on Tuesday 20 Jan with the Melbourne launch held at the Thornbury Theatre on Friday 23 Jan from 6:30pm. The book will be available to purchase at the launch, with a signing taking place after the primary event. Both nights will feature a discussion and Q&As with Palmer.
Tickets for Sydney are available via Ticketek, while the Melbourne event's tickets are available now through the venue/OzTix.
