Lykke Li pulls out

One of the Laneway Festival's top-billed international artists has cancelled their planned appearance, with health reasons keeping Lykke Li out of the 2015 event.

In a statement released via the festival promoters this afternoon Lykke said, "I''m incredibly sorry to announce that I’m no longer able to play in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore for Laneway Festival.

"It’s been a long time coming, but unfortunately tour life has caught up with me and it’s been recommended that I take a break. I’m devastated, but know I will return. Thank you for all the support, and I sincerely hope I can make it up to you at a later date."

In response to the news the festival has added rising Adelaide star Tkay Maizda, with the 18-year-old joining a bill that includes FKA Twigs, Future Islands and Courtney Barnett.
