Come and get your first taste of the band's debut full-length

After almost three years of work putting together their long-awaited debut album, Canberra-bred rock four-piece Drawing North have unveiled the first taste of what's to come in the form of fresh single Not Giving In.

Available to anyone who heads to their new and improved site and plugs in their email address, Not Giving In ushers in an era of maturation for the band's sound, having refined the rougher edges that fringed their earlier work and brought a considered pop sensibility to the fore of their highly polished compositions.

Earlier this year, the band finished recording work on the impending debut, which is set for release on early next year, heading to the United States to lay down its tracks with renowned producer James Paul Wisner (Paramore). Since then, they've been chalking up an impressive history on the road all around the country, supporting both local and international acts such as Jonny Craig, Hands Like Houses and The Almost, as well as recently appearing with visiting American heroes Say Anything at that band's October Sydney show.

Around that busyness, Drawing North have not only fit in festival appearances at the likes of Vans Warped Tour and Groovin The Moo, but found the time to boast a featured role in young songstress Kimmi Smiles' new cover of Taylor Swift's Blank Space, because real men aren't afraid to rock some T-Swift when the occasion calls for it.
