Local independent music brand Inertia have announced a new record label imprint called Midnight Feature today.

The imprint will have a focus on local alternative-pop music, evident with their first official signing of avant-garde Perth artist Kucka.

The singer-songwriter's first release through her new label home is fresh, slow-burning single Divinity, which is off her forthcoming 2015 EP. The track, a fusion of pop, mellow R&B and chilled-out electro, premiered on The Fader overnight. The song is out officially next Tuesday 25 November.

The news for Inertia caps off another busy 12 months for the indie heavyweight. Recently they were confirmed as the distro hub for Gotye's new record label Spirit Level.
