Seeking WA's best songwriters to claim part of $40,000 worth of prizes
With the WA music scene still recovering from last week’s epic WAM Festival, WAM has announced they are now taking submissions for the annual Song Of The Year competition.
Offering over $40,000 worth of prizes, the freshly formatted comp seeks out WA’s finest, allocating one grand prize and a range of other category winners, with a new Punk/Hardcore category.
The winner of the Song Of The Year will score $3,000 cash, recording time, the chance to score a publishing deal with Perfect Pitch Publishing, an online music course, 500 CDs pressed, a microphone pack and a spot on the WA-based State Of The Art and WAM Festival in 2015, and category winners take home $500 and studio time.
Perth hip-hop maestro Mathas claimed the main prize last year for his track Nourishment, other Boom! Bap! Pow!, Eleventh He Reaches London, Formidable Vegetable Sound System and other WA acts claiming category prizes.
