Perth band signs agency deal

More Tired Lion More Tired Lion

Perth indie rock band Tired Lion have signed with the New World Artists booking agency after their set at the WAM Festival opening party at The Bakery last week.

The band, who are managed by Jacob Snell of Monster Management and are not currently signed to a label, have been playing consistent shows in 2014 in support of their EP All We Didn’t Know. A number of agents were in attendance at the show and New World Artists’ Tom Johannesen was the one to make a move.

“Tired Lion were the first band that I saw after arriving in WA [for WAM],” he said. “After going out and watching close to 50 other bands across the weekend I came home still thinking about that set. Listening to the tracks after arriving back home was enough to have myself and the whole NWA office hooked!”

They join artists like Northlane, Illy Dead Letter Circus and British India on the NWA roster.

Snell said the band were “very excited to be joining New World Artists' illustrious roster. They have displayed a keen understanding of the bands vision and we look forward to what will no doubt be a very fruitful relationship.”

Tired Lion are currently vying for a position on the Soundbound line-up. Vote for them here.

They play the Beaufort Street Festival this weekend.
