More The Black Keys More The Black Keys

Grammy Award-winning US-bred rock two-piece The Black Keys have probably made a lot of people's day today with the revelation not only that they are extending their previously announced national tour to include a stop-off in Brisbane, but that they will be joined for that performance and select others by Bad//Dreems and Band Of Skulls.

The men behind the moniker, Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach, will now swing through Brisbane to perform at the city's renowned Riverstage on Thursday, April 2, with both support acts in tow. From there, they'll take in their already-scheduled shows at Byron Bay, Yarra Valley, Melbourne, Sydney, Hunter Valley, Perth and Adelaide.

Of those shows, Bad//Dreems will be filling support duties for Melbourne and Sydney; Band Of Skulls do the honours in Adelaide and Perth.

The Black Keys are headed Down Under as part of their wider Turn Blue world tour, named in honour of their recently released eighth studio full-length, their highest-charting album to date internationally — it secured a #1 spot on debut in Australia as well as in the US and Canada, and filled top fives around the globe. Coincidentally, the southern sojourn will mark The Black Keys' eighth visit to Australia in their acclaimed career.
