One Direction To Perform At 2014 ARIA Awards

Acclaimed five-piece UK pop-outfit One Direction are coming to steal yo' girl, with the What Makes You Beautiful hitmakers being announced as performers at this month's forthcoming 2014 ARIA Awards. 

The revelation sees the group join an already-esteemed list of performers for the event, including 5 Seconds Of Summer, Chet Faker, Hilltop Hoods, Justice Crew and Sheppard. The visit will come just over a week after the release of One Direction's forthcoming new full-length and Midnight Memories follow-up, Four, which drops globally on Monday, November 17, and support recent single Steal My Girl.

"Australia is one of our favourite places in the world, and we're so excited to be coming to see you to celebrate Four and perform our single Steal My Girl at the ARIAS," member Harry Styles said in a statement.

General-release tickets for the 2014 ARIA Awards have sold out, but the red-carpet and ceremonial action will all be aired on Channel Ten on Wednesday, November 26.

"We are very excited to welcome One Direction back to Sydney to join us in celebrating our biggest ARIAs yet," ARIA chief executive Dan Rosen said in a statement. "To have one of the world's most popular acts perform on the ARIA stage this year is just phenomenal. The fans are in for a real treat."

One Direction will be back in Australia not long after the ARIAs, when they return to embark on their February 2015 On The Road Again Aussie tour. That kicks off with a double header at Sydney's Allianz Stadium on February 7 and 8, and takes in shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
