Music At The House Unveils Epic Summer Program

Tickets go on sale November 10

Sinead O'Connor, an all-star tribute to David Lynch, and metal-loving finger-picking guitarists Rodrigo Y Gabriela all form a part of the just-announced epic program for this year's Music At The House summer program.

In a year that has already seen performances from the revered likes of The Gloaming, Pat Metheny Unity Group, Rodriguez, Nils Frahm, Angus & Julia Stone, Boy & Bear and many more, as well as showings yet to come from Max Richter & The Wordless Orchestra, Damon Albarn, Asgeir, the Violent Femmes and others, the summer program of Music At The House promises to continue the event series' by-now well established tradition of bringing quality contemporary music to the hallowed halls of the city's iconic harbourside venue.

Joining O'Connor, Rodrigo Y Gabriela and the Lynch tribute — In Dreams: David Lynch Revisited, which stars ex-Bad Seed Mick Harvey and Sophia Brous, with more to be announced — will be Neneh Cherry, RocketnumbernineMogwaiCaribou, Flying LotusLykke LiLittle DragonGypsy KingsBen Howard, and Angelique Kidjo & Mavis Staples.

"From Caribou to Max Richter, Neneh Cherry to Lykke Li, our Music at the House program aims to elevate the contemporary music experience for audiences and artists alike by championing extraordinary new artists and celebrating legendary ones in perhaps the most iconic venue in the world -­ a venue that traditionally plays host to orchestras, operas and ballets," the Opera House's head of contemporary music, Ben Marshall, said in a statement.

The forthcoming summer program for Music At The House runs from December through till April. General-release tickets will go on sale from 9am next Monday, November 10.
