Just when you thought the line-up couldn’t get any better, Bluesfest has inject another dose of electric talent to the bill, with the likes of The Gipsy Kings, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Jurassic 5 and more leading the festival’s stellar third artist announcement.

With more acts confirming sideshows this week, a mixture of blues, roots, hip-hop, soul, southern rock jump onto the Byron Bay Easter extravaganza, which goes is set to take place takes place from Thursday 2 to Monday 6 April at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, Byron Bay.

The latest additions to Bluesfest 2015, joining previously announced talent The Black Keys, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Zac Brown Band and many more are:

The Gipsy Kings (featuring Nicolas Reyes and Tonino Baliardo), Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Jurassic 5, John Mayall, Keb Mo, Dave Alvin & Phil Alvin With The Guilty Ones, Jj Grey & Mofro, Tony Joe White, Jon Cleary, Trevor Hall, Serena Ryder, Jake Shimabukuro, Music Maker Foundation featuring Cool John Ferguson, Little Freddie King, Alabama Slim, George Stancell

On top of that, previously named Bluesfest legend Michael Franti has announced Soulshine, which will feature music from Michael Franti & Spearhead, SOJA and Trevor Hall, and a pre-concert yoga session with Franti, his guitarist Jay Bowman and friends popping by to sing and play guitar.

Soulshine at Bluefest is the first of its kind and aims to bring bands, fans and yoga together, and goes down Monday 6 April with yoga instructor Duncan Peak.

The Gipsy Kings

Infusing energetic and uplifting flamenco, rumba, salsa and pop, The Gypsy Kings return to Australia celebrating their 25th anniversary. With a history just as interesting and as engaging as their, passion bleeds from their music, and lead vocalist Nicolas Reyes and lead guitarist Tonino Baliardo – masters of Rumba Flamenca - have been their since the beginning.

Rodrigo Y Gabriela

Internationally renowned Mexican acoustic rock guitar duo put punters into a trance as they weave rock, metal and jazz guitar riffs into a medley of upbeat, dance-worthy tunes. Their Australian return brings their latest studio album, 9 Dead Alive.

Jurassic 5

A proved via their headline tour earlier this year, six- piece conscious hip-hop collective Jurassic 5 always bring the party. Since reforming in 2013, they’ve toured the world, honing their live set, and dropping new single, The Way We Do It. Anyone who caught MC Chali 2na at Bluesfest’s 25th anniversary knows how much their performance is set to be.
