The Music's annual party is back
This year’s ARIA Week showcase of gigs around Sydney has been announced, with The Music’s annual party, a Kings Cross takeover and famed U2 manager Paul McGuinness all on the menu.
In its third year, ARIA Week is once again based around the ARIA Awards and will showcase emerging (and established) artists from around the country at venues across Sydney. Teaming up with MGM, The Music will be hosting an event at the Oxford Art Factory Tuesday 25 November – the night before the awards. Sydney neo-soul breakout Brave will be joined by new wave rapper Citizen Kay and Bloods DJs, with special guest band to be announced. It’s free as well — RSVP for your tickets here!
Elsewhere the National Live Music, APRA AMCOS and City Of Sydney office are offering an afternoon of free live music across a number of venues in Kings Cross. Taking place from 2pm Sunday 23 November artists such as KLP, M-Phazes and Microwave Jenny will be on show.
Elsewhere Universal are putting Megan Washington on the bill, Inertia bring Jack Ladder to The Vic and Channel [V] are hosting the Hilltop Hoods on one of their island parties.

The annual invite-only ARIA Masterclass session has also been confirmed, with legendary manager Paul McGuinness – who famously managed U2 for three decades – to indulge in a Q&A session with one of Australia’s top managers John Watson.
