Now we know who that cryptic, reuniting band is...
The second round of acts for Bluesfest 2015 have been announced today, with confirmation that Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals will reunite for the first in several years at the event.
Rumours and hopeful guesses have been circulating for a few weeks now over who the reuniting band would be to join the massive Easter Long weekend and while Harper himself almost gave it away with the news that he would be reforming with his one-time band early next year, today's official Bluesfest announcement confirmed it.
Other artists added to the typically strong bill include Scottish singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini, indie crooner David Gray, California veterans Counting Crows and soul legend Mavis Staples. Here is the second announcement in full:
Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Paolo Nutini, David Gray, Ben Howard, Counting Crows, Gray Clark Jr., Angelique Kidjo, Jimmy Cliff, Mavis Staples, Dispatch, Ruthie Foster, The Beat, Keziah Jones, Sheppard, Playing For Change
They join the already announced The Black Keys, Zac Brown Band, Train and Alabama Shakes. For everything on this year's Bluesfest, head to our festivals tab, as well as theGuide and The Music App.
