Best. Thursday. Ever

Legendary funk purveyors George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic are treating Aussie fans to two sideshows as part of their trip to the country for April's Byron Bay Bluesfest, giving fans in Sydney and Melbourne a shot each and breathing in the same air as the core member of the expansive, wondrous Parliament-Funkadelic (P-Funk) collective.

Sydney's Enmore Theatre will be changed forever from Wednesday, April 1, while Melbourne's 170 Russell will be funked right the hell up on Friday, April 3.

Clinton, in case you are unaware, is a world-renowned innovator of funk music, one of the most sampled musicians getting around, and an inductee to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame (since 1997) who once covered Never Gonna Give You Up for 2006 cover album George Clinton And His Gangsters Of Love, but not the Never Gonna Give You Up you think.

A way more amazing one.

F for funk? No? OK.
