The Museum Of Old And New Art's Festival Of Music And Art — MONA FOMA, or MOFO for extra-short — has announced a special treat for Tassie-bound fun-lovers in the form of a special sideshow this New Year's Day, head
The full festival line-up will be revealed in ensuing weeks, but for the moment punters have plenty to chew on for thought, as joining the Femmes – who are in the throes of celebrating the 30th anniversary of their hallmark debut album – will be recently revived Aussie indie-rock royalty Augie March as well as venerated troubadour Ben Salter (of Giants Of Science/The Gin Club/The Wilson Pickers fame).
The triumvirate of acts will be on offer to the so-inclined for $70 ($60 concessions) + fees, but sweat not, families — if you’ve got a mini-me aged 12 or under, they’ll get in for free (but must be accompanied by an adult). Gates open at 3pm on New Year’s Day; tickets are available now via MONA’s website.
