East, Frowning Clouds and more
Influential radio station triple j has released its playlist additions for next week, with The Frowning Clouds, Lisa Mitchell and East amongst their picks.
Soon-to-tour Jamie T has scored the feature album with Carry On The Grudge ahead of Thom Yorke’s Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, which will have a couple of tracks added to the station’s playlist.
On the Australian front Sydney duo Caramada (made up of L D R U and Yahtzel) have been included with their track Maybe, while Perth hip hop artist Coin Banks’ Someone has been plucked out of the triple j Unearthed ranks. Geelong garage rock’n’rollers The Frowning Clouds continue their rise with No Blues, Lisa Mitchell returns to their airwaves with new single Wah Hah and Canberra EDM heroes Peking Duk team up with SAFIA for Take Me Over. It’s one of the last releases through Vicious Bitch before the band begin their worldwide journey with Sony.
Elsewhere rising star East’s Your Ghost receives spot airplay, as does Gold Fields’ Hold Me and Mathas’ Stone Cold Sober.
