The quintessential Bad Seed will field queries from fans this December

More Nick Cave More Nick Cave

Nick Cave will grace the Astor Theatre this December for a pair of Q&A sessions to complement screenings of his recently released docu-drama, 20,000 Days On Earth.

Originally only scheduled for the one back-and-forth, the Astor announced this morning it would be adding a second, matinee, screening and Q&A from 2pm on Friday, December 19, to the existing, now-sold-out session scheduled for 7.30pm the same day.

Tickets for the new screening go on sale at 9am this Friday, September 26, via the Astor's website. Take it from us — given the speed with which passes flew out the door for the first Q&A, you'd be well advised to be ready and waiting come sale day.

20,000 Days On Earth is a fusion of drama and reality, presenting a largely improvised, fictitious day in the life of one Nick Cave, taking in the minutiae and melodrama of an average 24 hours. It enjoyed screenings at both Melbourne and Sydney's film festivals earlier in the year, after being premiered in February at the renowned Sundance Film Festival, in Park City, Utah. It was directed by veteran auteurs Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, and features a soundtrack composed by long-time musical collaborator (and humble co-star) Warren Ellis.
