UNFD Announce Partnership With US Label Rise Records
The heavy music label expands to the states
Local heavy music imprint UNFD are expanding their label operations into North America, announcing a partnership with US label Rise Records.
The merger will see material from the likes of Northlane, In Hearts Wake, Hand Of Mercy, Stories, Bodyjar and Hellions released in the states, in a deal that is exclusive to only UNFD signed artists. The partnership does not include acts signed to their ONETWO imprint or their management roster.
Back catalogues from The Amity Affliction, Dream On Dreamer and Deez Nuts will also be released as part of the merger.
The deal has been around 18 months in the making and a step that UNFD's Luke Logemann said was a natural progression.

"Our artists (Northlane and In Hearts Wake, in particular) are expanding in to the territory and are already selling records and merchandise in North America. The demand for our artists grew, and it became time for us to expand our reach over there, and make that small foothold into something much larger."
Logemann also revealed the decision to go with Rise, home to Of Mice & Men, Memphis May Fire, Issues and Sleeping With Sirens, was a no-brainer, considering UNFD had previously worked with the US imprint.
"At SXSW they approached us about a label deal and it made too much sense for us NOT to work together. They are on a crazy hot streak right now in their territory, and I’d like to think UNFD is in the same place in Australia. "
The deal is officially on Tuesday 28 October, with repackaged versions of Northlane's Discoveries (2011) and last year's Singularity to be released.
